Clayton Buchanan’s paintings have been exhibited in galleries throughout the northeast and south including Portraits Incorporated, NY, NY and The Guild of Boston Artists, Boston, MA. His works are in private and corporate collections including The First National Bank of Boston, London, England, the Elizabeth T. Greenshields Memorial Foundation, Montreal, Canada, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Rhinebeck, NY.

Mr. Buchanan received Best In Show, 2006 Orange County Art Federation’s Annual Members Exhibition, Lycian Centre Galleries, Sugar Loaf, NY and Grand Prize for Painting, Mainstream ‘74’s National Juried Show, Marietta, Ohio, 1974. He was awarded two Elizabeth T. Greenshields Memorial Foundation Grants, 1973-74.

Clayton Buchanan studied painting at the Art Students League under William Draper, NY, NY and with Henry Hensche, Provincetown, MA. He worked in graphic arts for 30 years and now paints exclusively in pastels.
